Abel was a missions pastor in his home church of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia just a few years ago. The entirety of his role as the missions pastor was to facilitate western church groups coming to Ethiopia to do outreach. After taking the Perspectives Course and being mentored by another leader, Abel started to get very excited about the possibility of God raising up Ethiopian missionaries to reach the unreached. Abel changed his strategy from facilitating mission groups from the west, to empowering indigenous missions locally. He founded a missions organization and today has 15 full-time staff working with him. His desire is to empower Ethiopia as a rising mission force. He is mobilizing hundreds through his ministry and equipping strategy.
